One stomp. Crisp highs, demudded mids.
Frost is a harmonic rebalancer, not an EQ. It splits the clipping into bands inside the oversampled stage, so the distortion itself comes out crisper in the treble and cleaner in the low mids.
Level-matched, so on sounds better, not just louder. Leave it on.

Tighten before you clip.
Tight is a high-pass before the distortion, Off to 600 Hz, so palm mutes stay punchy and bass doesn't turn to mush. It defaults to 100 Hz.

Which DAWs work?

What does Frost do?
